I was recently appointed to fill the vacancy of retiring state Senator Barbara Bailey. I’m honored to have been chosen by the county commissioners from Island, Skagit and Snohomish counties to fill the remainder of the term and will work hard to represent you in the state Capitol.

I’m dedicated to bringing civility back into our political process. As a freshman Senator, I’m not under the impression I’ll be able to change the world in the short legislative session. However, my experience as a farmer, business owner and family man will be a voice of reason and practicality in Olympia.
